Shows and Movies Zone
The movie zone! Not much else to say. I log movies and shows, review movies and shows, and whatever.
This is my personal media log, where I track and log the shows and movies I watch. I'm loading it up with some other trackers I've used such as letterboxd and that might take a bit. I'll also upload comments when I have them.

The narrative structure of this movie is awesome.
Being put into the head of this guy was so interesting. I think Christopher Nolan did a really good job with
tieing narrative structure to the narrative as a whole.
The ending made me so sad, I felt really bad for this character. |

| Man of Steel | 07/06/26 |
I'm not a Zack Snyder kinda guy but I think they should have let him cook.
As a kid I never liked the movie because of how slow it was and how Superman didn't actually feel like Superman. I don't think this interpretation is the best but I also don't think this is the worst. It's a difficult thing trying to adapt a character that old to a the current days standard, the heavy emotions and moodiness of this movie is a product of its time. The movie is built upon a flattened image of Superman, he is an alien with super-powers who saves people. Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Power Rangers also all suffered the same fate (the Amazing Spider-Man gets a pass). I'm very glad we've come back to a lighter interepretation of the character, but like Henry Cavill's Superman isn't THE Superman and he never had to be. Poeople should just let people make movies for crying out loud. I'm mainly upset about this because apparently Zack Snyder had like a 10 year plan with adapting Flashpoint at the end. That would have been cool (if he was recast). The MCU is old enough to vote, soon it'll be able to drink, and one day it'll be able to apply for an Age Pension and even then it'll still be going.Dunno where I'm going with this review. I liked the score and the action scenes. |

| The Batman | 22/05/26 |
This will be a beginning of watching all Batman movies in reverse.
I had a hyperfixation thats now moved onto Batman. This slowly started developing after reading Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's The Long Halloween. Lots of people talk about this movie. It's a great movie. The only thing that really lets it down is its overattatchment to realism. This leads to problems like The Joker's design, Batmans wingsuit, and Catwoman barely having cat ears. I feel like with The Batman Part 2 they have the opportunity to lead heavier into those fantastical elements with the introduction of Two-Face. (assuming that's what they do) |

| The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (David Fincher) | 16/05/26 |
This was my first time coming into the anything regarding The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo related. I had no idea about its narrative, the plot, who the characters were gonna be or what themes were gonna be explored.
I ended up really liking it, it's such a dark but awfully true mystery. It's also incredibly relevant. |

| Dune (Part One) | 04/05/26 | My parents did a nice thing where they message me as I was coming home that they were gonna order pizza and finally watch Dune with me, the movie I've been dying to watch again for ages. | 4/5 | |
| Arrested Development | Dunno | Forgot |
Watching this show was a fever dream. I'm going to be honest, not that funny. Funny, but not really funny. One of those shows where it's possible to get stuck into, but you really just forget it ever happened. |

| Mr Robot (season 4) | 10/04/26 | 21/04/26 |
Oh my god. As a whole I think this season has by far been the best. I really love how this show uses identity and unreliable narrarator. From the start of the show you get told not to believe everything you see and hear in the show as the truth. I really don't think I'll be the same person after watching this show, I genuinely love it. Favourite episode: 413. Hello, Elliot |

| Empire Records | 18/04/26 | This movie had such a cool vibe, I really liked all the varying tastes in music that all the characters in the ensemble had. Definitely going up there as one of my favourites, and definitely a movie I'd consider a 'me' movie. | 3/5 | |
| Mr Robot (season 3) | 03/04/26 | 09/04/26 |
Feels really good to come back to this series after a while. It's so good, and it tackles so many things on top of being more than just a show about hacking. Favourite episode: eps3.7_dont-delete-me.ko |

| Steve Jobs | 23/03/26 | Something about people crashing out at billionares brings me immense joy. | 4.5/5 | |
| Kill Bill vol.2 | 21/03/26 | I like Kill Bill for its quirky characters and fun action sequences. Not much else, but it's still good. | 4/5 | |
| Inglourious Basterds | 14/03/26 | This kinda feels like multiple movies at once, all of them coming from different parts of the world (actually just Europe and America), and each in a different genre. | 4.5/5 | |

| His House | 7/03/26 | 3.5/5 | ||
| Bottoms | 28/02/26 | Very funny, almost like an early 2000s comedy movie. Could potentially be the greatest teen comedy of the 20s. | 3.5/5 | |
| Uncut Gems | 21/02/26 | I have a crippling gambling addiction, a hot girlfriend, and ties to multiple celebrities so obviously i like this movie | 4.5/5 | |
| Longlegs | 13/02/26 | This is one of those movies that is very visually compelling but the writing and the actual storytelling in the movie just completely misses the mark on what the movie is supposed to be. | 2.5/5 | |

Smiling Friends
- TV Show
- Zach Hadel
- Michael Cusack
- @Adult Swim
Smiling Friends is absolutely insane and I love it. The bulk of the shows humour is fast-paced and heavy with realistic dialogue. It's almost hard to keep up with, but in a good way. I really like how much the show leans into the absurd, to the point where Charlie and Pim (the shows protagonists) are both aware of the world they are in and have their own ways of surviving and coping.
The creators of the show, Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack, are both prevelant online animators and are well aware of what most people on the internet find funny, which is probably why the show feels so fast paced and relevant to internet humour and culture.
Anyway, love the show a lot.
